Solomon made a new friend........

On our walk this morning around our neighborhood, Solomon made a new friend.   We were walking and when we turned this corner there standing on the sidewalk was this cute little Yorkshire Terrier just standing there looking too cute.   I knew he belonged to the house on the corner but I was afraid that if I moved too fast it would run away, so Solomon took control and nosed up to the cutie and after saying their hellos the little spitfire ran back under the fence where i guess he got out in the first place.   I went back to the owners front door to see if someone was home but no answer,  so my next step would be to cover the whole.   On terms of good luck,  I had it this morning,  their next door neighbor had just cut down their tree in the front yard and had these nice logs stacked up.  One of these would be perfect to put in front of the fence hole.  Their car was in the driveway so I knocked on the door, thinking it would be polite to ask and not just take.  Unfortunately, the owner was home but was sleeping.  She happens to work the  night shift and I woke her up.  I felt completely horrible.  I should have just taken the darn log and left her to her sleep.  Oh well,  best laid  plans of mice and men, they say.   I plugged the whole with the log and Solomon and I went along with our morning walk.

I just got back from going to the house again to make sure everything was still ok.  You know those terriers,  if they have a mind to,  they can move a mountain.   Fortunately the owner was home and was very grateful for my help and thought the log in front should last till her husband got home.

I'm glad so glad Solomon and I were there to help!

My California problem

I hate when I have days when I'm not motivated to do anything but complain.  This usually happens when I find myself tired.   I tend to take situations and make them much more worse in my head.   With basically walking dogs for a living I have a lot of time to spend in my head.  Today was no exception.  I was tired and I had a lot of dogs to walk.

I'm guessing because of Prop 8 being overturned I had a lot to think about.   I'm not angry that gay people can get married.  I'm angry because of our government.  Are we going to have another election and have the overturned overturned?  When does it end.  I'm wondering if I am the only one thinking that California is not looking that great anymore.  I think we are on a consistent downhill slide basically our state is being run by lawyers and special interests.   Don't get me started on the field mice, or the stocking of the rivers, or worse yet immigration.   I wonder if most Californians feel that its not worth it anymore.  Why fight when you know some lawyer or special interest is going to come from out of state with all kinds of money and turn it into their circus.

Maybe its time to move, or put on another clown suit!

A beautiful weekend came crashing down.....

I had forgotten what a beautiful state we live in.  Every day surrounded by basically nothing to see except a lone mountain in the distance.  I was reminded that only 2.5 hours away is the most spectacular scenery I would say in the world.  Ok,  I haven't been everywhere but When you get pass the Blue Canyon Summit on Highway 80 and enter the Donner Lake area, Truckee and eventually North Shore Tahoe, I would find it hard to image something more beautiful.  I am so glad that I took a quick trip up there this weekend.  I felt my shoulders drop at least 3 inches.   I have to kick myself for not going up there more often.  You can see a couple of the pictures that I have taken below.

Well that was the beautiful part of my weekend, the crash came with I got home on Monday to find out someone had, not sure what word to use,  but I'll say stole my Yahoo personal email and sent out an email to my contact list plus who knows else about me being in London and being mugged and that I need money.  They even signed my name the correct way.  Which I find odd.  But I spent most of the day yesterday scrubbing my computer and changing every password that I could think of.

I know nothing was literally taken but I feel violated.  Get your own email and stay out of my business.  Makes me angry to even think that I was spammed and these people make a living out of this.  I feel very sorry for them.  Can't be something you would brag to your friends about especially when you tell them you stole it from some hick in Oakley.   There parents must be proud.   Well hopefully I can stop thinking about it tonight and get a good night sleep.  Definitely took a step out of my gate today.

Thankfully I have the most wonderful furry friends that don't care that I have a twitter account, or that I have updated my Facebook page or that some boohah stole my email.   All they care about is me being there to take them for the best walk they had all day, and for some of my male furry friends that they are able to pee on anything that is leg high.  Whew,  there is my smile again.  I'm going to stop with that though in my mind.

Everyone have a good one and remember,  change your passwords.
